Christian Brothers Racing Celebrates Successful 2017-2018 Season.
Fertile, MN (April 6, 2018) - Emerging from the snow-covered deep freeze of another successful snowmobile racing season, the numbers show that Christian Brothers Racing brought the heat in 2017-2018. After 25 events, the team's snocross and cross-country riders brought home 46 podiums, 22 wins and two championship plaques to add to the wall. The snocross team was awarded the prestigious"Team of the Year" award by the Amsoil Championship Snocross series.

In the the most competitive and exciting class in snowmobile racing, Pro snocross rider Logan Christian scored seven podium finishes on the season including three 2nd place and four 3rd place finishes. Christian wrapped up the season with twelve top 5 finishes, six heat wins and finished 3rd in season points.

Jacob Yurk made things exciting in the Pro Lite class, pushing for the points championship until the final weekend and finishing just six points behind the leader. Yurk took five wins on the season, two 2nd place and four 3rd place finishes along with fifteen heat wins.

A glimpse at the future of Christian Brothers Racing came in the form of Anson Scheele. New to the team for 2017-2018, Scheele claimed 20 podiums on the snocross National circuit including 11 wins, six 2nd place finishes and two 3rd place finishes. He collected season championships in Jr. 14-15 and Jr. 16-17 and is one of the most promising riders in the sport.

One of the most grueling events in snowmobile racing, the Soo I-500 is a 500-mile enduro held on a 1-mile ice oval track in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Zach Herfindahl and Wes Selby piloted the team's No. 17X Arctic Cat to victory, lapping a field of more than 30 other riders in the closing stages to take the lead. This was the team's second Soo win, with the first coming in 2015 when Brian Dick and Selby sharing riding duties.

Even though he is only a few years into his career, Zach Herfindahl is already viewed as one of the best cross-country racers ever. With such a reputation, expectations are high, and Herfindahl delivered in 2017-2018, helping the team win the Soo I-500 (as mentioned earlier), and also leading the team's cross-country charge. Herfindahl claimed three Pro Stock wins and two Pro Open wins on the season, finishing 3rd in Pro Stock and 4th Pro Open season points.

Like Herfindahl, Ryan Trout is a young cross-country rider with a veteran-level of riding experience. The highlight's of Trout's season were a podium finish at the race in Manvel, North Dakota, and narrowly missing a the podium at the prestigious I-500 cross-country race where he finished 4th.

Once again, wherever Christian Brothers Racing competed in 2017-2018 their riders were likely at the front of the pack.

"I am continually impressed at the level of effort and dedication the members of Christian Brothers Racing bring every season," said Christian Brothers Racing team co-owner Dwight Christian. "After 15-years of team ownership it is still exciting to go to every race. Being a part of this team is an honor and I want to thank the riders, the crew and all of our supporters for another great season."
